Q: What does the $135.00 for the Emergency Exam include?
A: We will use you as the voice for your pet gathering any history that may help with diagnosing or treating your pets illness. The attending veterinarian will perform a full physical exam of your pet including taking their temperature, auscultating heart and lungs with a stethoscope, visual check of the pets ears, nose and eyes. They will also check pulse rate of the heart and quality of the pulse. Respiratory rate and effort is noted, as well as an oral exam of the gums checking for mucus membrane color and capillary refill time. Your pets mentation is carefully noted, and the veterinarian will palpate any areas of concern on the pets body. The veterinarian will then go over with you any suggestions for diagnostics or treatments.
Q: Will I be told how much treatment or diagnostics will cost before provided?
A: Yes. During your initial consultation with the specialist or emergency doctor, we will prepare an estimate based on the recommended diagnostics and treatments and review it with you in advance of being provided.
Q: Do you accept pet insurance?
A: Pet insurance companies generally will supply you with claim forms you fill out and submit with the documentation we provide regarding your pet’s medical treatment. You pay the veterinary office directly, mail or fax the claim form to the insurance company, and they will reimburse you the amount allocated by your plan.
In critical emergencies, we may provide you with a generalized emergency estimate to expedite your pet’s medical diagnostics & treatment. In these cases, we will provide the individualized estimate as soon as possible.
Q. Does SAVES Center offer routine veterinary care?
A: We do not. We only treat patients requiring specialty and/or emergency care. We don’t do routine procedures such as spay/neuter, dental, vaccinations or provide preventative care such as flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
Q: Can I call to get updates on my pet’s condition when he or she is in the hospital?
A: Absolutely! Our team is here to help ease any anxiety about leaving your pet for treatment. A receptionist, technician, ER clinician or the attending specialist can provide you with an update any time you pet is under our care.

Q. Where is your office located?
A. We are located approximately 20 minutes south of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Our address is 1090 Highway 54 East, Fayetteville, Ga 30214. We are on Highway 54, just 2 miles east of the historic square, near Robinson Drive.
When approaching on Highway 85:
From the North- Take Highway 85 South into Fayetteville. At the courthouse turn left on Highway 54/Stonewall Avenue and continue for approximately 2 miles and the clinic will be on the left side of Highway 54 at Robinson Drive.
From the South- Take Highway 85 North into Fayetteville. At the courthouse turn right on Highway 54/Stonewall Avenue and continue for approximately 2 miles and the clinic will be on the left side of Highway 54 at Robinson Drive.
When approaching on Highway 54:
From the East- Take Highway 54 towards Fayetteville. The clinic will be on the right side of Highway 54, just past the traffic light at McDonough Road, before you reach downtown Fayetteville.
From the West- Take Highway 54 through downtown Fayetteville. Continue on Highway 54 and the clinic will be on the left side of the Highway 54 at Robinson Drive.
When approaching on Highway19/41:
From the South of Lovejoy, GA- Take Highway 19/41 north. You will pass Atlanta Motor Speedway, and continue northbound 4.5 miles, then turn left onto McDonough Road. You will continue on McDonough Road until it dead ends on Highway 54. Turn left and the clinic will be a quarter of a mile down on the right, at Robinson Drive.
